Why Shop At ReStore?

ReStore provides an affordable alternative for everyone in our community to purchase new and gently used materials that may have otherwise ended up in the landfill.

Money raised by ReStore supports Habitat for Humanity of Metro Louisville in its mission of creating affordable home ownership opportunities.  Habitat ReStore strives to provide quality merchandise at excellent values to our customers. This saves tons of perfectly good materials from going into our landfill.

Thank you in advance for shopping at one of the 2 Habitat ReStore locations in Metro Louisville.  And thank you for making a difference in our community!

Mission and History

Louisville’s Habitat ReStore was opened to create a sustainable source of non-designated income for Habitat for Humanity of Metro Louisville through sales of donated building materials, furniture, appliances and landscaping while making a positive environmental impact by diverting these otherwise useful items from the landfill.

Question and Answers

Q: I found an item I like but it’s too big to take home today. Can I still buy it?
A: Yes. For the convenience of our customers, we will place a sold tag on your purchase and keep it in the store for up to 7 calendar days.  If you do not pick up your purchase, we will consider it a donation back to the store and make it available to be sold again.A: The ReStore does not put any items on hold or layaway.

Q: Will you make me a better deal on pricing?
A: Habitat ReStore has a built in discount policy on most items. Every 30 days the price goes down 25% until it is 75% off. Because of this, we maintain a No Bargaining policy.

The ReStore Manager may adjust prices at their discretion in the event of special sales, product damage, or overstock.

Q: Where does the money from the sales go?
A: All of ReStore’s proceeds go directly to Habitat for Humanity of Metro Louisville, to create affordable home ownership opportunities in Louisville. Visit the Habitat for Humanity of Metro Louisville website for more information. www.louisvillehabitat.org.
